WODONGA WEST MEDICAL CLINIC
INTRODUCING THE WWMC PATIENT NETWORK

In recent times some of you may have realised that there are some changes happening in the Medical Clinic. Not only has there been a new sound system installed there has also been a committee of fellow patients just like yourselves formed to help make the Medical Clinic a patient friendly place.

The aim of the Wodonga West Medical Clinic (WWMC) Patient Network is to represent all patients of the Medical Clinic and discuss topics and ideas that may make the clinic a better place for Patients, Doctors and Staff. We provide a link between you the patient and the Doctors through a single channel and you can make suggestions, put forward ideas and issues you are concerned about, as well a provide valuable feedback.

The Network would be happy to augment their numbers, particularly with someone from the older generation.

The Network can be contacted via email at patientnetwork@optusnet.com.au

MEET THE MEMBERS

Janet Janet – works part time at the Wodonga Hospital in the catering department. Jan is married to Phil and they have two children and they are about to become grandparents in the coming weeks. Jan has been a patient at WWMC for over 4 years.
Sally Sally – Secretary, has been living in Wodonga for the past 4 years. She moved here from Melbourne to live with her Husband and to be closer to family. Sally has been a patient of the clinic since 2002.

Julie Julie – and her husband have been attending WWMC since 1988 when they moved to Wodonga.
Liz - has been a resident of Wodonga for over 25 years and in that time has experienced both GP and specialist care. She has also worked in Specialist Medical rooms and can relate to the frustrations often experienced in medical rooms from the patient, the doctor and the office staff point of view. With 12 grandchildren, she also appreciates the need that we have for our medical standards to be maintained in the region, especially our family GP's.

Patty – and her husband have been married for 26 years and they have 8 beautiful boys. Their ages are 2, 4, 8, 13, 18, 21, 23 and 25. They have two in the army who half live at home and when they're there, so is 1/3 of their platoon! Their eldest is in a Ute club and they are also mum and dad advisors to many of them as well. They consider that they don't have a front door - but a turnstile! and wouldn't have it any other way. They have been with a doctor from this practice since the end of 1989 and he has been responsible for ante-natal and post-natal care of half their sons. Coming originally from Brisbane they appreciate living here in Wodonga.
